Who you are

In any group you end up as the one who decides: where everybody is going, when to move, which argument is worth standing up in. You have had that instinct since school, which made you either the natural leader or the insufferable one depending on the room. The weight arrived early, and you have spent your life trying to earn the years that were meant to come with it.

You know exactly who is yours, and anybody who moves against them meets a version of you they did not expect. That loyalty is the best thing about you. The confusion underneath it lasts a lifetime: you want to be central, and being central is not the same as being needed. Only one of those two survives a bad year intact.
