Who you are

You worked out early that nobody was coming. Whatever the specifics were, you learned to solve your own problems young, and by now competence is so automatic that other people assume you were simply born capable. You handle the flat, the money, the illness, the difficult call, mostly alone, mostly without visible strain and without complaint.

You are also, oddly, a warm place for other people. Having gone through the cold version of things you do not flinch when somebody describes theirs, and there is no pity in how you listen. People end up telling you the worst of it because you have clearly survived something and did not turn hard about it.

• Resourceful. You can make something workable out of very little and rarely complain about the materials.

Your shadow

Self reliance stops being a strength the moment it becomes a rule.
