Who you are

You work in the middle, where the arriving mess gets taken apart and sent on correctly. Nobody photographs the middle. They photograph the start and the result. Yet without your patient rearranging, half of it would reach the wrong place or nowhere at all. You can hold thirty destinations in mind without dropping one, and you rarely mention that this is difficult.

You are at your best under load. The tighter the timetable, the clearer your thinking gets, right up to the point where you notice at four o'clock that you have not eaten. Calm arrives in you exactly when other people start to panic. Afterwards you are wrecked for two days, and you have never once put that part on the schedule.

Your gifts

• Sequencing. You know what has to happen before what, and you can explain it without drawing a diagram.
• Clear under pressure. Volume sharpens you rather than scattering you, at least until exhaustion arrives.
• Clean handovers. Things leave you complete, labelled, and pointed at the right person.

Your shadow

You took on the coordinating because it is easier than being one of the people who needs something. Directing everything keeps you necessary and keeps you out of anybody's way, and you call it service. Meanwhile you never leave a gap. A life with nothing free in it cannot receive anything new, and lately nothing new has arrived.

Your soul work

Keep one evening a week genuinely empty. The work is real and people do run on it, but a life spent moving everyone else's things needs somewhere for your own to sit. Ask what you are carrying, and let somebody else arrange things occasionally.
