Who you are

You show your working. Where other people present the polished result, you narrate the middle, including the two hours you spent going the wrong way, and you do it without embarrassment. Hidden expertise has never impressed you. If somebody cannot follow how you got there, you assume the explanation failed rather than the person listening to it.

You say I do not know in situations where other people bluff, and it costs you less than they think it would. Colleagues who watched you admit the gap tend to trust everything else you say afterwards. There is a kind of authority that comes from being visibly uncertain in public and carrying on working anyway.
