Who you are

You take up room, physically or in personality or both, and you learned young to be careful with it. You lower your voice, you sit down so you are not looming, you let somebody smaller win the argument. Nobody thanks you for the adjustment because nobody sees it, but the people who have known you a long time trust you completely.

You also carry weight for other people without discussing it. The heavy end of the furniture, the money nobody else could lend, the family member nobody else will manage.
