Who you are

You are ready. There is a spare key, a copy of the document, a number for the person who fixes this, and you knew where all of it was at two in the morning when it mattered. Other people call this anxiety. It is closer to the opposite. Having done the worrying in advance, in daylight, you get to be calm when the thing actually happens.

You give people the exact right small thing rather than a large approximate one. The phone number of someone who can actually help. The one sentence that fits. The lift home at the hour they needed it rather than the grand offer they would have had to refuse. Some people read that as coldness. It is the most attentive thing you do.
