Who you are

You notice the sentence that has not earned its place, the ingredient muddying the dish, the person in the plan who was never really committed. What does not pass this time goes round again, or gets used somewhere else entirely, and you apply exactly the same treatment to your own drafts as you do to anybody else's. People trust the result because they have some idea of what you took out of it along the way.
